Carol Kuswanto

Carol Kuswanto is an Indonesian composer, arranger, pianist, and violinist based in Los Angeles, California. She is known for her work includes co-producing "Slow Dancing in the Dark - Acoustic Remix" by Joji, scoring additional music in feature film The Climbers, and her involvement in podcast shows, “Score: The Podcast”, “In My Feels”, and the United States President Joe Biden’s podcast, “Here’s The Deal”.

At Kraftbox Entertainment, she is currently working on several film, TV, and podcast developments, including the U.S. President Joe Biden’s podcast Here’s The Deal, the upcoming Sylvia Robinson biopic directed by Dear White People creator Justin Simien, and the fan favorite Score: The Podcast.

As a media composer, Carol has had the opportunity to work on various projects, including short film Ruwatan (2019) which was recently nominated for Best Live-Action Short 15 Minutes and Under at the 2020 Palm Springs Festival, a YouTube series by Wong Fu Productions Yappie (2018), which was nominated for Show Of The Year at the 8th Streamy Award, and the feature film The Climbers (2019). She has also scored original music in advertisements for Amazon Prime, Union Pay, and Nescafe. 

She received a Bachelor of Music from Berklee College of Music, graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2017 as a dual-major in Film Scoring and Music Business Management with a minor in Conducting.

Other than composing, Carol is also an active performer and session player as a pianist and violinist. Some highlights of her performances include performing with Grammy award-winning artist Jacob Collier (which was featured on an Emmy-winning documentary by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology), performing with 88rising’s NIKI at their Head in the Clouds Festival tour at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in 2018, and also being featured on Berklee College of Music's Youtube channel. Shortly after graduating from Berklee College of Music, she worked with YouTuber & Award-winning Writer/Producer, Rick Beato.
