Dua Empat
Based in Jakarta, Indonesia, Dua Empat is a jazz guitar duo consisting of two lovebirds, Alvin Ghazalie and Misi Lesar. The duo was formed on December 24th 2015 during the first days of their relationship. Thus, the name of their duo, Dua Empat which means twenty-four in Indonesian language. After graduating in Jazz Guitar performance under the guidance of renowned jazz musicians such as Dion Janapria, Robert Mulyahardja, and Johanes Radianto, they aim to proliferate jazz music amongst Indonesian youths.
After the release of their previous albums: Two of A Kind (2017), and Swinging Down The Chimney (2017), Dua Empat has received tremendous appreciation from, and collaborated with, renowned Indonesian musicians such as: Endah N Rhesa, Barry Likumahuwa, Asteriska “Barasuara”, and many others. They have also been given the opportunity to perform in many music festivals around Asia: Singapore Jazz Festival, Java Jazz Festival, Joey Alexander Asia Tour, and Indonesia Jazz Day to name a few. Their latest Valentine’s Day release “Would You Be Mine?” is now out on all platforms!
